Back in 2011, I released Very Damaged, a bold, distressed font built for designs that needed attitude — the kind of font that looked like it had survived a punk show or an industrial meltdown. It quickly became a favorite among designers looking for something raw, loud, and unapologetic.
Now, over a decade later, Very Damaged is back — fully updated for 2025.
This new version keeps the gritty personality of the original, but under the hood, it’s had a serious upgrade. The outlines have been cleaned up, the kerning is tighter, and it performs much better on screen. I’ve also added extended language support and expanded OpenType features to make it more versatile in modern design workflows.
Whether you're working on a music poster, a bold logo, or anything that needs a rough edge, Very Damaged is ready to bring the noise — with more precision than ever.
What's new in the 2025 update:
• Cleaned-up contours
• Improved spacing and kerning
• Better screen rendering
• Extended multilingual support
• OpenType feature enhancements
You can download the updated version now on Dafont, and it’s still free for personal use. For commercial licensing, head over to https://www.dafont.com/pt/very-damaged.font. (The new version come soon)

Thanks to everyone who’s used and shared the font over the years — this update’s for you.
